SBUT recruitment privacy notice

Who uses your information
Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust (SBUT) collects your application information for internships and employment recruitment. We use the details you provide, whether you indicate you are under 18, your CV, your role choices, your answers to the screening questions, the resulting score and screening status, and the submission date and time.
Why we use it
SBUT uses this information to receive and assess applications for current and future SBUT opportunities, identify suitable candidates, contact applicants about recruitment, arrange interviews, check for duplicate applications, maintain recruitment records, and meet legal obligations. The eight-question screening result helps HR prioritise review. A low score does not establish a person’s ability or character.
Who can access it
Only authorised SBUT HR personnel may access application records and CVs. Cloudflare hosts and processes the recruitment application, database, and private CV storage on SBUT’s behalf. SBUT will not sell your information, disclose it to other organisations for their own purposes, or transfer it to another employer without your permission, unless disclosure is required by law. SBUT will not use application information for promotional or marketing communication or for a purpose unrelated to recruitment. SBUT will take reasonable measures to prevent misuse.
How long we keep it
SBUT will keep application information while it is needed to assess your application, consider you for relevant future SBUT opportunities, handle recruitment queries, or meet an applicable legal obligation. HR will periodically review records and delete them when those purposes end, subject to any legal hold or mandatory retention requirement. You may ask SBUT to stop considering you for future roles or request deletion, subject to applicable law.
Security and your choices
CV files are held in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket and application records are restricted to authorised HR users. You may email recruitment@sbut.com to request access, correction, or deletion, withdraw permission for future recruitment consideration, or raise a privacy concern. SBUT will verify requests before acting and respond under applicable law.
Applicants under 18
Applicants under 18 may apply. They should review this notice with a parent or guardian. SBUT may contact them to obtain any guardian permission required for continued processing and will handle their applications with additional care.
